Patrick Collins is reelected mayor of Boston.

Collins (D), with 48,745 votes, defeats George Swallow (R), with 22,369, and others to be reelected mayor, carrying every ward in the city except East Boston (every ward-Connolly). He is the last college-educated mayor of Boston for more than a half century.
